Dr. Franz Wilhelm Baruffaldi Preis, born on June 7, 1959, in Italy, is a renowned plastic and reconstructive surgeon with extensive expertise in burn care. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Milan in 1984 and completed his specialization in Plastic Surgery in 1989. Dr. Baruffaldi Preis has held senior positions at Ospedale Niguarda and the Istituto Ortopedico Galeazzi in Milan and, since 2019, has directed the Burn and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery Unit at ASST Grande Ospedale Metropolitano Niguarda. Since 2025, he serves as Director of the Emergency and Urgency Department. He maintains an active role in private practice and contributes to academic teaching at the University of Milan, the “Luigi Donati” Master in Aesthetic Surgery, and the University of Medicine of El Mansoura, Egypt.
