Prof. Diego Ribuffo is Full Professor of plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Sapienza University of Rome and Director of the Plastic Surgery Unit at Policlinico Umberto I Hospital in Rome. He also served two tems as Director of the School of Specialization in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Sapienza
University.
His clinical and research activity focuses primarily on reconstructive microsurgery, breast surgery, and the treatment of complex soft-tissue defects. He has extensive experience in advanced reconstructive procedures and in the multidisciplinary management of patients requiring complex reconstructive treatments.
During his academic career he completed intemational fellowships in Atlanta and Melboume and served for several years as Associate Professor at the University of
Cagliari before retuming to Sapienza University of Rome.
Prof. Ribuffo is actively involved in teaching, research, and intemational scientific collaboration. He has authored more than 200 scientific publications and two books
and has delivered over 100 presentations at national and intemational conferences.
He has received several scientific awards and serves on the editorial boards of intemational joumals in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery.
