Associate Professor and Director of Residency Training Program of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery at University of Rome Tor Vergata. He worked at Sahlgrenska University in Gothenburg, Brigham and Women's Hospital, and The Boston Center at Harvard University. In 2014, he won the Fellowship Award from the European and American Societies of Plastic Surgery, and in 2015, he received the Hans Anderl Award for best European plastic surgeon innovator giver by EURAPS.
He is an expert in autologous tissue transplantation and performed the first face transplant in Italy in 2018.
He is Editor-in-Chief (Reconstructive Section) of the international scientific journal of Plastic Reconstructive and Regenerative Surgery
